Our aim is to build a community in which each individual is valued for his or her own strengths and in which children and adults are aware of and respond to each others needs. We have a code of conduct which is intended to promote and reward good behaviour.
Our code of behaviour known as 'The Golden Rules' is shown below:
Additional rules operate alongside the Golden Rules in different locations within the school such as the playground, corridors, hall and toilets. Each class also negotiates its own 'class contract' based on the Golden Rules. All children who follow the Golden Rules are rewarded by the
school with a 30 minute 'Golden Time'. This is a time when children take part in special activities across a wide range of interests. Children who break the rules and do not respond to a verbal warning lose part or all of their Golden Time entitlement, depending on the frequency
that they have broken the Golden Rules.
